Modules
Monk Development offers modular add-ons to our base package. All of the following modules can be added for an additional monthly and/or setup fee.
Blog & Commenting Modules
Clients can integrate a blog with commenting
functionality into their site. A blog is
a great tool for companies to communicate their vision to clients. The blog
posts combines text, images and other media related to its topic Sites are able
to create unlimited blogs for their website.
Blogs posts are published by dates and are able to be categorized as
well as archived by date.
Comment Management: Administrators can select if they would like to allow or disallow commenting on the website. Comments must be approved prior to appearing on the website. Admins can opt to have comments ‘always approved' from trusted members.
Event Registration / RSVP Module
The event registration / RSVP module allows a client to quickly enable an event for online registration and manage registrations. This module is perfect for events that do not require payment by the registrant. (The ecommerce module allows for events with payments.) Clients can create unlimited number of events.
Communication Module
Clients can send emails directly from the CMS. A client is able to easily (and with little technological knowledge) create HTML email campaigns and send them to hundreds (or thousands) of people. These emails can be sent to specific groups or to all subscribers as a whole.
Members Module
The member's module includes a login protected backend for the people that a client provides permission to enter. This means client members can access a backend system to view online directories and other resources that are published for members only. Members can manage their contact information and update email addresses, phone numbers, and upload pictures to accompany their directory listings.
Social Networking Module
Online social networking is revolutionizing how
people connect. MySpace is now the most popular website on the internet. This
social networking site surpassed widely-used Web-based email and portal sites
including Yahoo Mail, Yahoo and Google. Each day, new social networking site
connect like-minded communities of people together. More and more people are
accustomed to connect with others based on shared affinity. Clients who
understand how to tap into social networks have a tremendous opportunity to
connect with people.
With the social networking module, each member of the site can create a page, add/connect with friends, find out others with shared interests (eg. hiking, skateboarding), create their own blogs and create their own photo galleries. The system includes an internal messaging system and enhanced group features to connect people.
Discussion Boards/Forum Module
An Internet forum is a web application for holding
discussions and posting user generated content. Internet forums are also
commonly referred to as web forums, message boards, discussion boards, (electronic)
discussion groups and discussion forums.
Create several discussion boards, sub-categories and topics. Members can login, edit, view, create new
topics and reply to existing conversations.
Library/Book Module
The Library/Book Module allows clients to include a list of books on their site and assign them to specific categories. Sites can display book lists that the client recommends. The module captures the significant information about the books in your recommended reading list or library and then allows you to assign them to a book list. Users can associate an image, description, author, keywords and author with the book.
Affiliate URLs: Each book allows users to input an affiliate URL to earn commission from the sale of books from online bookstores such as Amazon.com.
Administration
The primary administrator is able to change site information in the backend. The site administrator can add and set the permission settings for the other administrators.. Other sections can be locked down so that each administrator only has access to the section to which they have been granted.
Ecommerce
Monk Development allows
you to enter products and capture sales on your website. Easily add and edit
products through a customized solution that fills all your needs. Editing your
products is as easy as logging into the CMS and saving your changes. Clients can charge membership fees or other
recurring payments. Monk integrates the
shopping cart into PayPal payment gateway and Authorize.Net. If you prefer other 3rd party processors
contact us directly.
Shipping & Tax Calculator: MonkCMS can determine UPS & FedEX shipping for customers during their transactions based on parameters clients establish.
