Drew Goodmanson (Executive, Strategy) Drew has led several technology focused companies since 1996. He served as CEO of Pangia, Inc. a company that focused on the integration of technology into the shopping center environment. Drew has also been the President of The Fulcrum Group and SanoBiosciences International. Drew's clients have included companies such as Amazon.com, Unisource, Macerich Company, TPG Ventures and Forward Ventures. Drew currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Renovo Group and serves as an Elder at Kaleo Church. Drew graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Seattle Pacific University.
Etienne de Bruin (Executive, Development) Etienne graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa with a BS in Computer Science. He started his career in South Africa in the early days of the World Wide Web and related technologies. He ventured to Germany to team up with network security experts in the design of network traffic encryption products. Etienne served as a key technology member of Quidel, leading the integration of several enterprise systems to support corporate strategy.
James Martin (Executive, Operations) James has over ten years experience developing mission critical systems. Prior to joining Monk, James led the Research and Development team at a Dallas based company specializing in Emergency 911 applications. James graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Management Information Systems.
Leon de Bruin (South Africa Operations) Leon has spent more than 35 years obtaining experience in the Chemical-, Iron and Steel-, and Mechanical- Engineering fields. He has a comprehensive background in executive/boardroom duties, business development, company acquisitions, international sales, financial controls, chemical production processes, engineering manufacturing and project management. The last years prior to setting up his consulting companies he functioned as the Executive Officer at an Industrial Manufacturing group of Companies. He graduated from the University of Potchefstroom in South Africa in Master Degree in Chemistry and Business Administration. He currently resides in South Africa and manages our satellite company Monk Development SA, in South Africa.
Michael Elias (Sales/Business Development) Mike has spent the last 18 years in design / technology sales and served as the lead sales executive for several world class design firms, working with clients such as Maytag, Pitney Bowes, and Citibank. Prior to joining Monk, in his most recent role as a Senior Sales Advisor at Landslide Technologies, he consistently lead the company as the top performer. Mike graduated from ICM School of Business with a degree in Computer Management and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity Degree from LAMP Theological Seminary.
Kevin Giddings (Sales/Business Development) Kevin has been a visionary leader and trainer for several start up ventures over the last fifteen years. He was instrumental in helping these organizations create services and offerings that made them viable options in their community and market. This experience, plus his years in management, customer service/sales and tech training, offers a unique set of skills to serve MonkDev and its clients. Kevin holds a BA in Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University and an MDiv. from Southwestern Seminary.
Diedre de Bruin (Sales/Business Development) In 1997 Diedre set foot in United States leaving her home country of South Africa to attend Colorado State University. She graduated cum laude in 2000 with a BSC in Animal Science. Shortly after joined an Animal Health Company, Heska Corporation, to join a fast growing dynamic sales team. She was an award winning top performer, her focus on customer service and education was paramount in revitalizing floundering territories and transforming them into profitable assets for Heska. After 8 years, she decided to join once again a dynamic company, Monk Development and is confident to achieve new heights working with this exciting product/service.
Beau Aguon (Sales/Business Development) Beau came to Monk after several years of serving as Director of Sales & Marketing for a San diego commercial real estate firm overseeing sales, marketing, advertising & business development efforts. As the Sales/Business development guy for Monk Development, Beau represents the company to new and existing clients, creating imaginative and innovative opportunities to deliver cutting-edge web solutions.
Benson Lee (Account Manager) Benson graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BS in Computer Science. His previous work has included software development, operations and administrative work at a non-profit, and customer support. He brings a unique blend of technical and customer skills and is passionate about connecting people through practical applications of internet enabled technology. When he is not working he enjoys gadget nerdery, reading, and deep laughs. Benson currently resides with his wife in San Diego.
Shane Bonham (Layout, Design, CSS & Development) Shane is our CSS guru. Graduating in 2003 from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BS in Business Administration, he continues to be a student of the ever-evolving realm of web standards. Shane lives in north county San Diego with his wife, son, and cat.
Adam Randlett (Layout, Design, CSS & Development) Adam graduated from Western State College with a BS in Kinesiology. His web design and development began as a hobby and soon found a passion that gave him a different direction for work. Adam brings experience not only in web development but flash development and video production. Adam enjoys life and the outdoors with his wife and two children in Colorado.
Aaron Van Ruler (Layout, Design, CSS & Development) After graduating from the frozen tundra of Minnesota State University, Moorhead, Aaron spent six years in a variety of roles with Campus Crusade for Christ. Upon returning from a year in Germany, Aaron began to transition into full-time web development. His recent experiences with varrying CMSes (as the Content Manager for CCCI's corporate site and as a web developer for Indiana University) has given him valuable experience in design, structure, and functionality. He and his wife live in Bloomington, IN, cheering for the Big-Ten football powerhouse: the Indiana Hoosiers.
Russ Graves (Backend, development, php) - Russ graduated with his Masters in Information Assurance from Iowa State University. He has 7 years experience in Unix administration, with an emphasis on server security and scaling. Russ also does web development, focusing on the PHP/SQL/Javascript end of sites. Russ is active in a local community church. In his spare time, he flies a small plane and provides a home for ferrets.
Justin Stayton (Backend, development, php)A 2007 graduate of LeTourneau University in the field of Computer Information Systems, Justin comes equipped with a myriad of skills in web development and programming. His academic portfolio includes work for companies ranging from IBM to the Longview Wellness Center. But when staring at code has his eyes bloodshot and blurry, Justin enjoys relaxing behind a good book, a camera lens, or a blank canvas to spur his creativity. He currently resides with the Amish in Pennsylvania.
Justin Bodeutsch (Backend, development, php) Justin has experience building backend intranets as well as web standard websites. Justin previously worked for Netbiz, a growing company in Tigard, Or. At Netbiz Justin focused on developing simple tools to help people edit their own web sites. Justin’s skills include CSS, JavaScript, quality, validation, PHP and other backend integration.
Chad Johnson (Backend, development, php)Chad is a graduate of LeTourneau University. He enjoys learning about computers and technology, reading science fiction books, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. He began his web development and programming career in early high school and has since spent many long nights coding.
Marcie Kechely (Operations) Marcie comes to us from Mason McDuffie Financial Corporation where she was a Commercial Property manager for five years. There she was responsible for managing over 40 million dollars in assets along with all tenant and vendor activities. Prior to this she was Manager of Operations for the Faultline Brewing Company restaurant chain. Marcie attended college at UC Davis.
Judy Hanchett (Office, AP/AR) Judy handles the books and other needs the company has related to administration.
Ashley Cade (Training/Documentation) Ashley provides client training and creates documentation for the Content Management Systems.
